Treatment Process Biomechanical / Sports Based Issues

At your initial biomechanical consultation, we start off with a thorough history and background assessment to get up to speed with your current situation. Following this, a complete lower limb biomechanical assessment is conducted to determine a diagnosis and to find out what factors have caused the issue. Our Podiatrist may refer for an X-ray, ultrasound or MRI pending on their findings.

The assessment includes a full range of motion/muscle strength screening, postural analysis, high speed video gait analysis (slow your walking/running down to 100 frames/second), pressure plate analysis, 3D laser foot scan and footwear assessment. We pride ourselves on a global assessment and are not just focused on the primary presenting complaint!

Pending our findings, your treatment is then tailored to your specific needs. Common treatments at FNQ Podiatry & Orthotics include:

  • Neuromuscular needling/acupuncture
