FNQ Podiatry & Orthotics Cairns VALD Strength Testing

VALD strength testing Cairns services are now available at FNQ Podiatry & Orthotics. This advanced technology is used by leading high performance organisations across the world, including the Australian Institute of Sport, to accurately measure strength, power, balance, movement and more. As well as being beneficial to helping an individual maximise their performance, it is also an important tool in injury rehabilitation and prevention. At FNQ Podiatry & Orthotics, we are passionate about providing our patients with the highest level of care and staying at the forefront of technology in the health and rehab space. In line with this, we are excited to introduce our latest acquisition, VALD Strength Testing Technology and VALD strength testing Cairns services.

WHAT IS VALD TECHNOLOGY USED FOR?

  1. Strength Testing. Our VALD Force Decks (only available at our Earlville clinic) and Dynamos (available at Earville and Redlynch) provide real-time numbers for our Podiatrists while they are assessing our patient’s strength. The exact value of strength for each movement is provided to our Podiatrists, which allows them to compare for asymmetry, and provide a baseline for comparative testing throughout the rehab journey. This also helps our patients understand their underlying issues in more detail. Gone are the days when you measured ankle strength by putting pressure against the practitioner’s hand!
  2. Balance Assessments. The VALD Force Decks evaluate pressure distribution and postural sway during standing. This provides our Podiatrists with real-time data to evaluate and assess for issues that may affect athletic performance or predispose someone to having a fall.
  3. Injury Risk Assessment. The VALD Force Decks and Dynamo allow our Podiatrists to be proactive in assessing for strength deficits, movement restrictions and instability during common movement patterns. This allows us to formulate targeted rehabilitation programs to ensure that these deficits are corrected, therefore improving performance and reducing injury risk.

WHAT IS VALD STRENGTH TESTING?

VALD Technology allows us to take the guessing game out of assessment and rehabilitation for our patients. The advanced technology allows our Cairns Podiatrists to gather real-time strength data to provide valuable insights into how our patients are moving and where their strength deficits lie, therefore allowing us to formulate a targeted rehabilitation plan specific to their needs. Not only does this allow patients to recover quicker from their injuries, it also helps to reduce the risk of reoccurrence.

HOW LONG DOES VALD STRENGTH TESTING CAIRNS SERVICES TAKE?

Depending on what tests are required, our VALD strength testing Cairns services can take anywhere between 2 and 30 minutes. At the completion, your treating Cairns Podiatrist will generate a report showing your data represented in well-laid-out graphs, which they will explain in simple terms. This can be used as a reference during your rehabilitation journey to show how you are improving.

WHAT CONDITIONS CAN OUR CAIRNS VALD STRENGTH TESTING SERVICES, HELP TREAT?

Our Cairns VALD strength testing services can be used to assess and treat the majority of lower limb issues, with the most common being:

WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM OUR VALD STRENGTH TESTING CAIRNS SERVICES?

In today’s modern world, people are becoming more proactive about their health and fitness. As a result, we routinely have patients come to our clinics seeking our VALD strength testing Cairns services. These patients are pain-free, but want to see how their body functions, whilst identifying any deficits that could be corrected to improve performance. Our Cairns Podiatrists then work with that patient, targeting any areas of weakness, to improve function and reduce their level of risk for an injury.

So, whether you’re an elite athlete, weekend warrior or recovering from lower limb surgery, our VALD strength testing Cairns services are an invaluable tool to help with your rehabilitation journey. Please note: The VALD Forcedecks are available at our Earlville clinic, and the Dynamos are at Earville and Redlynch clincs.
